Dr. Mark Wilcox, MD, FACOG

Mark Wilcox, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and Complex Family Planning specialist and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He received his BA with honors in Chemistry from Grinnell College and his MD from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).

Dr. Wilcox practices comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology, with clinical interests that include contraception, early pregnancy care, abnormal uterine bleeding, complex family planning, outpatient procedures, and vaginal surgery. He serves as Medical Director of CU Medicine Obstetrics and Gynecology at Central Park and is a Fellow of the University of Colorado School of Medicine Academy of Medical Educators. His academic work includes medical student and resident education, clinical quality improvement, and the development of patient-centered systems of reproductive health care.

Dr. Wilcox has received multiple awards for teaching and humanism in medicine, including the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics Humanism in Teaching Award, the University of Colorado Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Excellence in Medical Student Teaching Award, and the CREOG National Faculty Award for Excellence in Resident Education.
